Sheila Thelen discusses more ceiling harness safety issues. Then she demonstrates common jump setups for use with a ceiling harness. Setting up jumps under the support wire is a major challenge for most skaters and coaches, at least when they are first getting used to the harness. Sheila provides tips and patterns that all coaches can use.
Add to “My Favorites” (Beta testing)We have the belt system with one rope that comes up behind the skater’s head. A couple of things she mentions in the video are different than what I do. I place myself a little bit ahead of the skater on the jump entrance and I stand on the opposite side than what she does. Those were the instructions that came with the harness and they work for me.
